MG cooling issues

Could you please tell me why the water keeps boiling in my MGZR 160? It doesn't do this when driveing only when stationary

The engine has a tiny coolant capacity, so any leak rapidly leads to overheating. The leak is usually through the 'O' ring gaskets between the cylinder head and the water heated inlet manifold. It usually evaporates on the side of the hot engine block.
