Buying a Mercedes-Benz CLK - what would you recommend?

I am considering a Mercedes CLK (2008/09) and have up to 15,000 to spend. I am looking to buy it more for comfort rather than speed. I drive less than 10,000 miles per year, and I have read your comments on petrol vs diesel.

However, taking economy and cost in to account, which model of car would you recommend, what mileage is reasonable, anything to look out for and what sort of target price for said car?

Petrol makes most sense, and you'll get a newer car for your money.

A 10 reg CLK200 163PS Avantgarde retails at £13,150 and a convertible at £14,900.
