I've been looking at Citroen C5 diesels. A few 2008-2009 cars, with 30-50k on clock, sell for £7000-8000. All three variants, 1.6D, 2.0D and 2.2D are available at this price, with or without sat-nav, mostly VTR+ model.

I do 10,000-12,000 miles per year, with only a few very short journeys. They have good kit levels and most reviews by owners talk of comfort and good value. Some also available that have done high mileages, which I guess is encouraging. Are these are reasonable safe bet?

Which is the one to go for? I'd keep it for three years.
