Problems with Nissan Micra

please can you help, I bought a nissan micra three years ago (it was a year old) and it is now 4 years old. It has always been serviced at a nissan garage at the intervals recommended.

It has done just over 9000 miles. I have had major problems over the last few weeks and the car won't go and the ABS light is on. After taking it to the Nissan garage they said there has been water ingress and the wires are complete worn out and it will cost £2600 to repair.

Please can you give me some advice as to if I have grounds to ask Nissan to pay for some or all of this as it has never been picked up at a service.

Not the first time I've heard of this on a Mira. The ABS system seems to be particularly susceptible to contaminated brake fluid because the fluid had not been changed regularly.
