Pick-up advice

We are going to buy our son a 4X4 double cab pick-up to use in Zimbabwe. After some research we are considering a Nissan Navara 2.5dci auto and would appreciate your advice as to whether this is a good choice, or should we consider any alternatives?

The latest model Isuzu D-Max is the best pick-up, followed by the Ford Ranger. But parts are probably easiest for the Toyota HiLuxe, which hasn't changed much since 2003.
