Should my 'trade purchase' come with a warranty?
My stepdaughter is buying a Mazda2 from her father who is a corporate manager for Volvo. It's an 08-plate part exchange vehicle. He knew she was looking for one, so has bought it through his company for her. She is paying £4000 for the car, which seems pretty good - but we have been told she will not receive a warranty at all from Harrats Volvo because the car is a part exchange!
Is this correct or is he - or Harrats - still responsible and supply a warranty

Because he works for the dealer this has been a 'trade purchase' so is not covered by consumer legislation or case law on it.
