Speeding and speed limits

I was recently driving a 3.5-tonne Luton van in Cambridgeshire, when I was caught doing 57mph in a 60mph zone (national speed limit on a single carriageway). The problem is that this was a 50mph maximum for my vehicle on that road. So I was technically doing 57mph in a 50mph zone.

My work have replied to the nip, as me as the driver. How long does it take for the police to reply to me with their course of action? Does the 10% +2 mean they won't take action unless I exceed that limit - or once you hit 10% +2 they take action? So 57mph in a 50mph is the limit on the 'rule'.

Unpredictable. There is no time limit once the driver has been identified. You might get off. You might not. Sorry, cannot be any more comforting than that.
