An unpleasant noise is coming from beaneath my car
My 1998 Audi A3 Turbo has loud rattle under middle; exhaust checked, worse downhill and even worse with clutch depressed, gone going up hill. Engine is fine. Had to go over speed bumps recently! Any ideas as garage hasn't please?

Probably engine or transmission mountings. This model A3 and the concurrent Golf Mk IV had very low slung engines and transmissions, easy to catch on speed 'cushions'.
