Out of order pay and display meter
I received a parking ticket yesterday in a private car park. When I arrived the only pay-and-display machine was out of order, so I did not get a ticket. When I returned, there was a ticket on the car however no reason for the ticket being issued was marked on the back of the ticket. Obviously I do not want to pay the £60 fine, so what should I do?

You will have to go through the appeal process:
www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/private-parking-penalties/
If they don;t relent, then let the matter go to court where you will win. (They won't take it to court.)
