What are the tyre pressures for my Polo

I'm having a little difficulty finding the correct tyre pressures for my wife's Polo. The manual's pressures do not relate to those shown at the filling station. Have looked around at various sites and for some reason seem to hit a wall! I’m just worried I may have over inflated them. Is there a database I could check them out at?

P.S., I liked your comment about the concept of a driving test every three years. Maybe 20 or when you have an accident, but think from what I’ve read in your column refresher courses would be a far better idea. We all develop traits after years at the wheel. I’m not a believer in the Nanny State but smoking whilst driving is after speaking on a mobile the one that should be clamped down on or at least frowned on!
