Winter tyres
I am driving to SW France, to a remote mountain/hill region, at altitude up to approx 800-1000m. There is a steep and winding road to and from the house. I asked about fitting winter tyres, but garage says they're 'a bit of a sales gimmick', and the existing Bridgestone Dueller (H/T 684 205/65xR16) are adequate.
Is this the case? If not, what tyres do you recommend? Are there any other recommendations for this journey? There is a MyTyres fitting station near me.

If there will be snow then you need winter tyres, and possibly also chains. MyTyres (bit.ly/2I7N1bv) can advise you better than your garage.
