Engine cutting power when driving
The car suddenly has no power but the engine does not stop. I have to pull over quickly turn the engine off and then wait about 10 seconds. When I restart the engine the accelerator revs as normal. Sometimes it can happen twice on a journey.
Then nothing for a week or so. When I travelled to London I had covered
nearly 200 miles on M6 and M1 then all of a sudden it had no power in the accelerator - not very convenient when I hit the road works at junction 12 of the M1!

The turbo is probably siphoning sump oil and feeding it into the engine.

I have a 2003 Nissan X-Trail, diesel with low power. It will not pull properly and feels like it is missing a lot of power. It crawls up to 3500rpm, then takes off. Any idea what the fault could be?
