A cyclist is claiming against me for injury
About 2 years ago I was heading out of a cul-de-sac onto a dual carriageway. Just before the dual carriageway is a cycle path. A cyclist crossed his give way lines and went into the side of my car. The police were called, and after their investigation it was a no-fault accident.
The man was hospitalised for 11 days with a broken bone. His son offered to repair my car but there was no damage. Now he is claiming up to £100,00 of damages via the county court and his solicitors.
What should I do? Ignore it? Call their bluff? Report them to the Law Society?

Let the case go to court and defend it with all the evidence you have. In another case a man who lied about an injury claim got 9 months for criminal fraud and perjury. Remind the cyclist that this is what he faces if he lies in court.
