car not starting

I have a Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI which is not starting. Over 2 visits to my garage we have replaced the glow plugs, pre and main engine bay fuel pumps, filters, all hoses, fuel sensor, starter motor, injector seals and batteries in both keys. It started at the garage so I drove it home and left it for two days but then it wouldn't start. At my wits end - any thoughts?

Well firstly does your car have BAS (brake assist)? If so then there is a known fault which affects starting, in that moisture corrosion gets into the BAS system (multi plug 3).

If so then sometimes it can be cleaned out or if not then the BAS control module has to be replaced.

Other than that, given all you have changed, hasn't the garage done a diagnostic check and if so what fault codes did they find?

We would have thought that a diagnostic would have been carried out in the first instance rather than just changing lots of items.
