French speeding ticket - can they do this?
Having driven round France with extreme caution on a recent holiday, I have just received an "Avis De Contravention Au Code De La Route" through the post. It was sent unregistered to my home in the UK (the hire car company must have supplied the details) and is written entirely in French.
Will this lead to points on my UK licence (I don't have a French one)? Do I have to inform my insurers? And what are the consequences if I don't pay?

Just pay. They can chase you for it through UK courts. Unlikely to affect your licence. Nothing to do with your insurer.

I've received a NIP dated 15 November for doing 35mph in a 30mph zone on 30 August. I believe the police have 14 days to issue these but obviously, this had been 14 weeks. How do I respond to it?
