My boyfriend has just passed his test - what should he buy?
My boyfriend has just passed his driving test at 59 and now wants to buy a car for getting to work, about 15 miles a day and some leisure use. He only has about £3000 to spend and needs plenty of legroom as he is 6 foot tall. Obviously insurance will be expensive so are there any hints that you can give on where to look for the cheapest insurance for his age group?

Tell him to try a Citroen C1, Peugeot 107 or Toyota Aygo. I know someone 6' 8" who can drive one of them and they are in the cheapest insurance group.
