Replacing low profile tyres with normal

I bought this used car (Premier model) a few months ago. I'm very pleased with it, except for the harshness of the ride. I presume this is the result of its low profile tyres (225/45R17).

Once the current tyres have worn down, would it be a practical proposition for me to replace both the alloy wheel and the tyres with one of the specs fitted to other trim levels of this car, in order to improve the ride? Would this be regarded by my insurers as a modification of the car?

Other tyre specs listed in the manual are:

185/65R15
195/65R15
205/55R16

I'll be very grateful for any advice on this matter.

On the 130 I rate 15" wheels with 195/65 R15s as the best for steering feel, handling and comfort. 2nd best 205/55 R16s. No good: 225/45 R17s.
