Replacing our Octavia
I need to replace my six year old Octavia 1.6 FSI. We are also both now working locally so our annual mileage will be 6-8000 miles at most. We are considering a nearly new petrol Ocavia but I've fallen for a 2011 petrol Superb Elegance (6K) 1.8 with many extras. Would it ruin a beautiful car to do so few miles? And is £15,500 a good price? My wife has worries about parking such a beast too!

Better to run a petrol model for 6k miles a year than a diesel. But, sadly, VAG 1.8 and 2.0 TFSI engines have had some oil consumption problems.
