Peugeot 306 is overheating
I have a problem with my 306 1.8 litre petrol engine overheating. I replaced the water, added some coolant and checked the oil.
Then it did it again and I noticed a lot of water leaking out of the coolant expansion tank. I stopped the car immeditely and let it cool down. I re-filled the water and coolant and the car still runs fine.
The engine fan works fine but the engine is getting up above 90degrees quite a bit, so I turn it off when this happens. There are no leaks in the radiator. What do you think is the problem?

Well you are obviously loosing coolant somewhere, so would carry out a pressure test on the cooling system to see where the leak is , ie water pump etc.
If no apparent leaks then you may need to check the compressions as you may have a head gasket failure.
