Best tyre size for a comfortable Zafira?
I'm considering buying a new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, 1.4 turbo, petrol, auto, Elite. Fitted as standard (I understand) are 235/45R x 18 tyres. My sole concern is a comfortable ride. With this in mind is there a better sized tyre that I could have fitted?

Vauxhall seems to be unwilling to fit smaller wheels and deeper profile tyres to its cars. But I commented favourably on the ride on 19" 40 profile tyres here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/vauxhall/vauxhall-.../ I think your problem is more likely to be tyre damage and the cost of replacement than actual discomfort.
