Replacing my Berlingo after an accident
My daughter and I were involved in a side on accident in my Berlingo multispace 1.6 and it's looking likely the car will be written off.
The other driver has admitted full responsibility and my car is with the assesors. The passenger door, driver door, sill and door pillar all suffered damage of varing degrees. If the car is written off, we are unsure what to do.
We had planned on eventually getting a Seat Alhambra in the new year when finances and circumstances are better but are now in a quandary.
We have two small children (aged 2 and 4) so need a decent sized boot, and are used to the Berlingos ability to have three car seats in the back.
I'm reluctant to get a 'run around' as I was hit on a journey I make daily and want to feel safe but at this current time we cannot spend money we do not have.

If they write it off you will then get a settlement and on the basis of that you will have to decide what to do. You could go for a current model Berlingo Multispace or Peugeot Partner, which are much stronger and safer than the original models. Or you could pick up a 2nd hand ex Addison Lee Galaxy automatic for between £7,000 and about £11,000. Details of that and contact number for Addison Lee here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/ford/galaxy-2006/
