Which diesel 4x4 for low miles?
My immediate rural location requires a 4X4 to cope with narrow lanes, muddy verges, getting out of the way of other vehicles and winter conditions. My current car is a 2007 Skoda Octavia 4X4 estate with the 1.9 diesel engine, which is ideal for these conditions. My run to work is about nine miles of which 3 miles are narrow muddy country lanes and the rest on a main road, average speed 55mph.
A couple of holidays and the annual mileage is 10,000. But, I need a diesel for economy torque and mpg. There doesn't seem to be a 4X4 which is free from DPF, flywheel problems etc if subjected to low mileage. Can you recommend a diesel Yeti or similar for these conditions? (Not 1.8 petrol, to thirsty, high tax and insurance)

No, because the Yeti 1.8TSI AWD is the best Yeti. if you want a diesel, then that is what you want, but it is not our recommendation. The diesel most likely to cope with your type of mileage is the new Mazda CX-5 2.2 Skyactiv 4WD.
