Why is there no 2.4-litre CR-V in the UK?

Any clues as to why Honda has chosen not to offer the CR-V with the 2.4Litre or even the American 2.5Litre option?

Because it is built in the UK and Honda does not want to have to import a different engine for it for which there will be very little demand. The 2.4i Accord, which is offered with the 2.4 in the UK, does not actually go much better than the 2.0i anyway. The Accord is imported whole, which is why it can be had with the 2.4.
