What used auto with low emissions?

I need to find a 'good' second hand automatic car, no more than 2L, that has low tax band/ CO2 emissions, can you recommend any please?

Have already had Ford Escort, Vauxhall Cavalier & Astra (Currently Vauxhall Astra '03 1.6 envoy w/ 200g/km on tax band J) Not great gearboxes and very high tax band relative to engine size (Alfa Romeo GT 1.9 '07 appears to be far cheaper to run than my Astra!)
