2008 Astra using too much oil
I have an 1.4-litre 2008 Astra with 120,000km (74k miles) and it started to use a bit of oil - about a 0.4l on 1000 km (621 miles). I know Vauxhall says it is normal to use as much as 1.0l on 1000 miles, but I don't know...
What are your experiences? There is def. no leak whatsoever. It was using NO oil up unitl 90k km... My dad was a previous owner, now I bought it from him, I hope it the motor doesn't go belly up.

Likely to be the valve stem oil seals. Eventually they wear and start to let small amounts of oil through into the combustion chambers.
