What car for winter driving?

I will be driving on country roads to work early mornings and evenings, and am worried about winter. I would like to buy a used car, which is female friendly and does not breakdown, handles well in small country roads in winter.

It is far more important to switch to winter tyres on all for wheels from November to March than to get a 4WD. That said, a 4WD on winter tyres is even safer. You might consider a Toyota Urban Cruiser 1.4 D-4S 4WD. If you can wait until January you gan get a new 4WD Dacia Duster from £10,995. Another new 4WD will be the Vauxhall Mokka.
