Struggling to start my Terrano

I am having problem starting,it sounds like dull click as though battery low, then second attempt starts ok. In last 2 days it has got worse, sometimes taking several attempts.Fitted brand new battery and exact same result, sometimes first attempt then next time 5 or 6 attempts - any ideas?

Could be a sticky starter motor solenoid. The click is the relay opening to prevent a short circuit fire.
