Which large saloon for comfort?
I am looking to buy a used Jaguar XF; BMW 5; Mercedes E or Audi A6.
My Budget is a flexible £22k. Prime consideration is comfort - both in seats and ride quality. I probably would not recognise 'handling' and 'feel' advantages - hence no Mercedes Sport type model. Please could you tell me what difference wheel sizes make to comfort.? For instance Jaguar have 17 inch to 20 inch wheels - I suspect they would have an effect on comfort but I'm not sure which way and how.
What car would produce least road/wind noise? Is there any other car/model that I should also consider? New or old within this sort of budget. I don't change cars often so am keen to make as informed a decision as possible.

Go for the XF on the smallest wheel with the deepest profile tyres you can get it on. 17" or 18" rather than 19" or 20".
