My Vectra loses power after braking.
My Vectra 2-litre diesel 1998 loses power for a few seconds after braking, and the engine management light comes on intermittently but goes off when brake is applied, this also causes loss of power.

Well you have a fault of some kind, most likely one of the many sensors.
It may be best to get a diagnostic check carried out in the first instance as this should then show up as a code ie P---- 4 numbers and can be used to identify the problem.
