Advice on towing weights

I am considering buying a folding caravan that weighs 1100kg but I am finding it difficult to find out whether my 2005 Honda Accord 2.0 Executive Automatic will be able to tow it safely. How can I find trusted independent information on this as the various caravan dealer and club sites seem to be biased towards encouraging me to go ahead and I don't feel enough emphasis is put on the mechanical stress it might place on the car.

Also, as I am a novice at towing, I will be booking on to a towing and manoeuvring course; is there anything else I should consider?

The safe tow weight is 85% of the kerb weight of the car which is between 1,301 – 1,507kg for the Accord.
