Whining S-Type differentual
I am very pleased with my S Type but suspect a whine is developing at the rear, have they any known problems and is there a solution?

Try changing the fluid in it for fully synthetic. Take advice from a transmission specialist. But if wear has developed you won't be able to mask it forever.
