Is the Lexus IS worth a look?

I am thinking about purchasing a Lexus IS F-Sport diesel but I do not know much about the car. Is servicng dear, are they reliable, running costs, build quality?

Hopeless gearing, unless you can get one with the lower sport gearing that was only available for a short time because higher CO2 than the long geared version.
