Accident claim - what should I do?
A car cut in front of me causing an accident. The driver admitted to me and my wife that her driving was "rubbish". My insurance company has passed me onto Swift Claim who is pushing to claim from the other driver but adds that it may have to settle on a 50-50 basis. I am reluctant to accept the alternative as the other driver is clearly in the wrong. What can I do?

You are being ripped off by the system. Assess what this is going to cost you, then tell your insurer you intend to sue the other driver directly using the small claims track of the county court.
