Small car for motorway commuting
I am a 24yr old female looking for a small used car, which I will drive 80 miles a day down the A14/A1 so it needs to be fuel efficient. My budget is £2,500 and I'm interested in VW Golf, Polo and Fiat Punto, are these good models or is there some thing that would suit me better? What year and mileage should I be looking at?
Thank you!

Go for a Toyota Yaris 1.3. Much more reliable car for the money than any of the three on your list.

Better than the original Punto in almost every way. Excellent driving environment. Easy to get in and out of. Practical and inexpensive to run.

Facelifted Polo III, still with an upmarket image. Better than pre-facelift and all now have power steering.
