Cleaning the engine of a used car

I have just brought 06 plate corsa for my son. Is it ok for me to clean engine or should I get a franchised dealer to do it.

Best never to clean the exteriors of engines. Oil on them protects them from corrosion.

Solid and decently equipped. Reasonable handling and some frugal engines.
