Polo returning poor economy.
I worked out my Polo was only getting 37.5 mpg – that’s mostly a 6 miles straightforward run to work and back , no real stopping , and I travel against the traffic.
I’ve been driving 20 years, my car is fully serviced and I have 35 psi tyre pressure. I like to drive around 55mph so I think I’m reasonable.
I think I may sell the car as my son and other drivers agree with you - I think I might get better mpg and reliability from a Yaris D4D.

You might. But first check the air filter. If it is choked and dirty, that will be the reason for your poor mpg.
