Misfueling advice
As an avid reader of your forum can you explain to me, why, based on your knowledge you furnish so many people who inquire about what to do regarding misfuel, with incorrect information? The last question i read was regarding a misfuel on a 2008 golf tdi. 13 ltrs of incorrect fuel, topped up with correct fuel, now it takes 3-4 times before it starts and the oil light flashes. Your answer, use Wynns additive and it could be the oil pump!
IT'S THE WRONG FUEL. The reason why the oil light is flashing is simply because when you crank any modern vw over multiple times without a start up it automatically detects low oil pressure. NO modern vehicle will tolerate any amount of incorrect fuel, that fact is well documented. The only reason why most people contact you is that they want to here that it will be fine, they dont want to pay for a professional fuel drain service. We've progressed a little since Sierra diesels and any one who suggests that by filling any diesel with the correct fuel after a misfuel and it will be fine, is an IDIOT.
Stop telling people what they want to hear and tell them what they need to know. And before you ask, ive been technical development director for a major breakdown provider for over 16 years, so yes, I do know what I'm talking about

No idea what you are referring to here. But definitely possible to save a diesel injection pump when 9.3 litres of petrol is put into a 60 litre tank by filling with V-Power high lubricity diesel, adding Wynns lubricity enhancer, then constantly keeping the tank topped up for 2,000 miles + so the contamination of diesel by petrol is very gradual (most of the petrol 'floats' on top of the diesel). I speak from experience. I don't know where you speak from. And anyone can be so beset with problems that they make the mistake. Anyone except you, of course. because you are perfect.
