Petrol or diesel?
I intend to buy a Honda CR-V (manual transmission), and keep it for 7+ years, doing 15k miles per year. Which is the better engine choice, petrol or diesel?

The diesel has a diesel particulate filter and a dual mass flywheel, so though it will be more economical and will perform better, you have to budget about £4,000 for the replacement of these two items during a 7 year tenure.
