Four wheel strife
Last year I bought a set of steel wheels for my Mercedes C-Class for some winter tyres. Bridgend Mercedes Benz made sure I have the correct size bolts and I bought some wheel trims too. This year I want to get the tyres to fit. My conundrum is as follows. If I have the tyres fitted by my local Benz dealer (in Bristol not Bridgend) they will not store my summer tyres on my smart 16" alloys. If I have tyres fitted by Kwik Fit they will store the wheels but they will charge me £12.50 per wheel which adds £50 to the cost of winter tyres - already quite pricey. I wonder if you could give me some advice on storing the wheels in my own garage. I understand Kwik Fit will provide covers for the wheels. What is the best way to store the wheels during the winter?

Honest John
My summer wheels are already in store, laid flat on top of each other in a dark 3rd floor store. When I had a house and garage, I built a shelf above the up and over door for storing tyres flat, off the ground and in the relative dark. Obviously, don't store them on the ground.
