Steelers wheels

I will take delivery of my new Skoda Octavia 1.8TSI in about 3 weeks time. Following your advice on winter motoring I have ordered a set of 4 steel wheels from Skoda, which I will have shod with winter tyres and use for the 5 winter months you suggest (Nov to Mar). The summer tyre size will be 205/55 R16 91V so presumably the winter tyres should be that size and specification. Please could you advise on the best tyres, value for money wise, I should have fitted? The sales executive is from the Czech Republic and suggests 'Matador', a brand unknown to me although they are a little cheaper than, for example, Goodyear or Pirelli.

These are not too low profile so you might as well stick to the same size. Michelin does 205/55 R16 Alpins. (www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/tyre-selector/#filter=win...r)
