Jack of all trades

Firstly let me tell you that I always read your letters page and have gained a lot from it. I think you actually dealt with my problem some months ago but of course I didn’t keep the information. My daughter recently bought a very old Vauxhall that has no wheel jack, no instruction manual and no spare key. A friend recently lost her only car key and had to pay over £400 to get another in an emergency situation. I don’t want this to happen to my daughter and would therefore like to purchase a spare key now just in case she looses the only key. Can you make any recommendation as to where I can get a spare or do I need to approach a Vauxhall dealer?

Timpsons the cobblers does plain or programmed car keys. For the jack, a scrapyard or buy a universal small trolley jack from Halfords.
