Diescision time
We are close to buying a Honda CR-V auto but can’t decide between petrol or diesel. We only do approx 12,000 miles per year so not sure it’s worth getting a diesel, but do you get better performance from the diesel? Also with regards to comfort I presume the 17" wheels are best?

For comfort, yes, 17" wheels with 225/65 R17 tyres are best. 18" wheels with 225/60 R18 tyres okay because the tyres still have some profile. Just avoid 19" wheels and tyres. You'll get better fuel economy and acceleration from the iDTEC, but potentially more problems, such as the limited life of the diesel particulate filter. New, bigger CR-V arriving next year.

Roomy and versatile. Very comfortable, pleasant and relaxing to drive. not at all cumbersome. 2.2 i-CTDI diesel is excellent.
