Miles per Galant
I have driven a Mitsubishi Galant 2.2 automatic for 11 years. The steering mechanism is leaking oil, so we need a new car. I am in my eighties, drive on the motorway about twenty miles or drive to the nearby local village. I have test driven a Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Micra, but they felt juddery on the roads. How can I go from a large car to a smaller one and be happy? What do you recommend? (Not a German car.) I wish to buy new and could go up to £15,000.

The best ride in a very small car is, surprisingly, the Chevrolet Spark on 14" wheels. Slightly bigger, Citroen C3s on 15” wheels ride well.
