Do you recommend the Vauxhall Insignia Estate diesel?
My Jaguar X-Type Estate 2.0D is getting on in years, and I am thinking of changing it for a nearly-new Vauxhall Insignia Estate, probably diesel. Does this car have a good reliability record, and which diesel model would you recommend? Are there any problems that you are aware of?

It's the same basic engine in all of them as far as I can gather: now a 130PS or 160PS 2.0-litre, based on the previous disastrous 1.9-litre, but absolutely no reports to me so far of problems with the 2.0-litre diesel. We got 55mpg over 600 miles from the 160PS ECOflex version, but handling and roadholding suffer on its low rolling resistance tyres.
