Why don't you condemn tailgaters when you write about obstructive drivers?

In your reply to TM of Tunbridge Wells you supported his view regarding obstructive drivers. I would also have liked you to condemn tailgating, as there is never an excuse for it for whatever reason. It is downright dangerous.

Let me quote from The Highway Code: The very first sentence reads - "Always be careful and considerate towards others." The paragraph goes on, "As a responsible citizen you have a duty to the community not to endanger or impede others in their lawful use of the King's Highway." This is not from the politicised, nannying current issue of the Highway Code. It is from the original one of 1930.

Common sense seems to have been subjugated to dogma. When condemning ‘tailgaters’, we should particularly chastise the brain-dead drivers who do not leave sufficient space in a queue between their car and the vehicle in front to accommodate an overtaking car. They are a greater source of frustration then the vehicle at the head of the queue.
