Wrist and be thankful
My wife suffered a badly broken wrist a few months ago, which has left her with restricted movement and weakness in her left hand. This is causing difficulty in operating the handbrake and gears on her Mazda 6 estate car as well as using the steering wheel, to the extent that she does not feel confident enough to drive the vehicle. I believe an automatic with either a foot operated parking brake or electronic parking brake would restore her confidence together with a steering wheel handle spinner knob attachment to give greater control of the steering. Is the use of a Steering wheel knob legal and what vehicle would you recommend to replace the Mazda 6 estate? The estate car is needed to transport our dogs.

Disability modifications from www.jeffgosling.co.uk Quite a lot of cars now have electric motorised parking brakes. Passats do. A lot of Renaults do, including Scenics and Grand Scenics. It was optional on the Ford C-Max. It's standard on the new VW Sharan and SEAT Alhambra. It's standard on the Peugeot 508 SW. It’s standard on all current Jaguars. That's a start, anyway.
