Snatch and grab

The credit hire scam will only be defeated by motorists choosing to insure with insurance companies who stand their ground against these vultures, causing unacceptable loss of underwriting business to those insurers who roll over and pay up.

However, for this to work we need to know which companies are not rolling over. Perhaps you could publish names, or invite readers to submit their own experiences of insurers standing their ground so we can draw our own conclusions.

Unfortunately, if the insurers do not roll over, the credit hire vultures pursue either the ‘at fault’ driver or the driver who benefited from the credit hire car and case law allows them to do this.
