Off road Jaguar S-Type
My 2003/53 Jaguar S-Type has been off the road for over 10 weeks because of the = unavailability of outer CV joint kits - both of the existing N/S and O/S joints are corroded. Regular updates from Jaguar Customer Service only report an "issue" with the supplier but offer no solution. Are you aware of any "issue"?

No, I was not previously not aware of this. But, of course, the S-Type is now obsolete, and if no current Jaguar uses identical parts then any parts have to be specially made in a separate production run. These are very expensive for manufacturers, typically costing ten times as much per part than for one in regular production.
So if your car has failed at a time when the parts stock is used up and another run of replacements is not scheduled for some weeks, you are stuck. I would recommend getting onto the Internet and launching a search in the hope that the parts can be found in a dealers stocks or in the stocks of an independent parts supplier.
