What should I look for when buying a 1.4-litre Volkswagen Polo?

I am thinking about buying a new 1,400cc Volkswagen Polo. I know they have had good reviews in the press but could you tell me what you think and whether you know of any pitfalls?

Buy the chain cam 1.2TSI 105 by all means, or the chain cam 1.4TSI 122. But do not buy the nasty old belt cam 85PS 1,390cc 1.4.
