I suggest your readers check the evidence very carefully before responding to a parking charge notice.
I am writing in reply to HW’s email letter in your Telegraph column. I too received a letter from the parking company in question. However, its claim that I outstayed my parking time was completely fictitious. I had a new car a week before going on holiday. While away it was parked on my driveway outside my house in Berkshire. During this time I (according to the parking company) had parked at Moto, Ferrybridge, which, given the circumstances, was physically impossible.
Photographic evidence was referred to in its letter that I could view online. The two photos showed a car presumably arriving and departing a car park. The photos were not time or date stamped and could have been taken anywhere. In fact the car in the photos, although showing my registration number, was the wrong make and colour of car. Needless to say, I reported the matter to the Police and Trading Standards. CP Plus has withdrawn the parking charges. I would advise your readers who receive these notices to check the "evidence" carefully before doing anything at all.

Well done. It looks like whoever employs this company needs to look very carefully at their contracts for clauses that allow them to dismiss this organisation for incompetence and attempted fraud, as well as causing extremely bad PR through intimidation, harassment and threatening behaviour.
